Continuation of exercise 3. Translation into Arabic. Exercises are based upon the use of the past tense.
The first ten sentences were practiced in the previous post. This post will start from the sentence number 11.

Interrogative sentences begin with هل  or  أ
Negative past tense is made by preceding the verb with ما

11. Zaid left home and went to the school.
12. Surayya put the fruit in the refrigerator.
13. Ayesha drank cold water.
14. Hamid did not read the new book.
15. Did you reach the new book?

TRY TO TRANSLATE THE ABOVE SENTENCES INTO ARABIC ON YOUR OWN AND THEN COMPARE WITH THE FOLLOWING.


خرج زيد من البيت و ذهب الى المدرسة
وضعت ثريا الفواكه فى الثلاجة
شرِبَت عائشة ماء بارداً
ما قراء حامد الكتابَ الجديدَ
هل قراءتَ الكتاب الجديدَ
16. The little child played with his ball.
17. Your maid cooked a delicious meal.
18. My student memorized his lesson.
19. Have you completed your assignment?
20. Where did Fatima put her new books?


TRY TO TRANSLATE THE ABOVE SENTENCES INTO ARABIC ON YOUR OWN AND THEN COMPARE WITH THE FOLLOWING.


لعِبَ الطفل الصغير بالكرته
طبخت خادمتُكَ طعاماً لذيذاً
حفظ تلميذي درسَه
?هل اكملتَ عملكَ
?وضعَت فاطمة كُتُبُها الجديدَ
